Do some chiropractors make patients undress before making adjustment?

Someone told me they went to a chiropractor and was told to undress to underwear before they got an adjustment. Then they went to another chiropractor and took off their clothes and looked like an idiot. So some chiros ask you to undress as a normal part of the adjusting process?

Every office is different – I worked in Europe where everybody disrobes with no gown and sometimes take the bra off too, and in the US where often you treat through clothes of course.
Disrobing has its merits of course – I’ve had patients forget to tell me about serious surgeries I only saw because I made them disrobe before I treated them.
Just ask the front desk what to do.
Of course every professional has its bad apples and if you think the DC is a perve tell someone, but normally they’ll do whatever you feel comfortable with, and of course they’ll let you wear a gown if you want too.
